Vasopressin receptors and Kim Jong II

Filed under: Fis' pawa, PG County

There’s this English phrase “screwing like rabbits” which has never quite gelled with my “African” :) sensibilities. The rabbits or hares of my folklore are sly, clever critters that outwit the malevolent hyenas and hungry lions. More quick thinking, save the day type animals, and less Austin Powers “Let’s shag baby” type animal. This free-loving title shoould perhaps go to the Southern African Cape Whale.

I’m speechless. Really, and truly speechless for once.

Murderer tells victims’ families to ‘get over it’

Ulysses Handy III walked into court smirking Wednesday morning, and remained smug as he proclaimed himself “guilty as charged” of three aggravated first-degree murder and two assaults.

He smiled. He laughed as victim’s families said they hoped he’d be killed in prison. He told the families, “Pain is part of life. Deal with it, get over it.”

Writing from Malaysia, an incensed Seth says: “Limkokwing University in Malaysia recently held a small promotion at the Kuala Lumpur Centre. There were some Kenyan students who sang Jambo Bwana. All was well until the students shamelessly told the visitors that the song had been composed at the Malaysian University. Shame on those students!”

This made me laugh. And realize that liars abound and roam the earth.

Like this time, when me and my girl are catching pints. So this jamaa intent on making conversation starts telling us how he’s been all over Kenya and he’s even written a book. What book you ask? I’m glad you asked. Ati Facing Mt. Kenya.

Tribute to the Gich.

I stumbled across KBW by way of BruthaCode who’d linked MamaJunkYard who’d linked kina Spidey et al and I.was.hooked. And I was then reading blogs like it was part of my job description. The camaraderie between Guess, MJY and Nick and all those other OBs– erm… OGs was amazing. I was of course lurking as initially, it felt like I was intruding on a family conversation. There was this rowdy, rambunctious, crazy, loud (even in cyberspace, best believe you mofos be louuuud!) and they were having so much fun, I was like “I gotta get me some of this blogging.”

And I started my blog which (say it ain’t so), had my real name in its glory. I mean the full mutumiawamucii.blogspot.com AND pictures of me (what was I thinking?!) courtesy of crappy halo scan as that was in the bad old pre-flickr days. Of course I got 0.0 comments but I got hooked on this whole “you have a story to tell, so tell it!” idea. And, I decided to join KBW. Msanii was one of my first custos and he slowly became a regular (more on the utter loveliness that is Msanii in another post). Then visitors started trickling in, and I started butting in on conversations and the thing that surprised me so pleasantly, was how welcoming everyone in KBW was.

Which brings me to Nick.
